I've made a weatherproof louvre using the template 'Metric Mechanical Equipment Wall Based.rft. It looks OK and flexes in the width as it should, but...it'll only insert into a 150mm thick wall.
The wall in the rft file is 150mm thick, so I assume that is part of the problem. I've tried locking dimensions etc, but no luck so far. Anyone had a similar problem?

I recommend making a few extra wall types of varying thicknesses in the family. Out of the box, they all have only one. Make a few more and make one fatter and one skinnier than the "default". Then as you build your family, switch the wall type in the family and see how the geometry reacts. You can then adjust and lock where neceesary to make it work in a variety of wall thicknesses.

You probably have locked your dimensions to the wall faces. Usually there's a reference plane on each face of the wall. Try locking your dimension to those reference planes instead. It should work when the wall thickness change.
