We have posted an STL exporter for Revit Architecture on Autodesk Labs. For more info see:

GREAT! hopefuly we'll find the way to print them cheap. So, in near future the models will be back again. I'd like to.

Fabulous Scott -- thanks for posting that. It saves having to go to AutoCAD for creating the STL files!

Has anyone produced a 3D prototype model through 3D printing? I would be intrested to know how easily you can actually produce a 3D prototype model, the workflow, how detailed you can go etc. etc.
Anyone willing to share? Or Autodesk willing to show us a test case using the new STL link straight from Revit?

scott,
thanks for posting this. i have utilized the tool to generate the stl file and ran it on magix and catalyst before sending it to RP machine. it worked pretty seamless. One thing I have noticed was that when exporting model from revit, it seems to scale the model to 1/12th of original size. i've tried different unit settings with export but all the results are the same so far. i understand it is rather simple to adjust that scale factor on catalyst (multiply by 12) but it kinda got me going for a while...
any suggestion?
