Offset goes inactive while drawing Curtain Wall

I have six Floor Plans Levels and want to draw a Curtain Wall. I click Wall and select Store Front Wall Type and chages some of its paraeters. Then I switch to 01 Level and use <Pick line> option to Pick Walls, then for Wall <Level> I select <01 Level> and for height I select <05 Level> but while selecting Height level as <05 Level>, Offset goes inactive. Please sugesst how Offset can be activated again to Define Offset for Curtain Walls.

I can't seem to replicate this behavior. Are you sure you are choosing the Pick Lines button, not the Pick Faces button?
