I cannot get my beam system to slope I think I have followed all the rules but am having no luck. I have set the properties to 3D I used the pick supports It shows all the lines as having slope symbols. And I tried selecting and deselecting them. I have a ridge beam, a ledger connected to tilt up panels and end panels.I would think this could be an easy fix. From all I read it sound like it should work. However I am still learning how to do this program. If anyone has a solution I could use one.!! Thanks CB

Hi, set your workplane to the desired slope first,

set your girders with the 3d option picked as well.
and when moving girders up or down use the individual end offsets.joists/purlins should slope with girders.

I can get a sloped system with the work plan but I lose the 3D snapping part. However I did not set 3D snapping the first time to my girders. I tried setting the beam to snap but still can not get the sloping feature. I am trying to get sections to slope into drains. So the whole system just sloping one way doesn't work fully. Thanks for the help but still looking for answers.CB

You shouldn't need to set a workplane at all. Could you possibly post a picture or a small Revit model with the framing that should support the beam system?
(also, what version are you using?)

if you have the slab/deck sloped correctly you can set the workplane to be the underside of it and then draw your beams accordingly. when sloping using a reference plane, make sure 3d snapping is checked

I am in 2009 Here is a section after further review -thought the single slope will work fine but i would still like to get the snaps to work. Thaks CB

The interesting thing here is I made four walls put a beam system on it with 3D snaps works great???!!!????
