Hi there,
I need to take my Revit Model home to work on. My Project is workseted and has several users.
How do i do this without breaking the link with the central file and be able to edit elemants??

If you want to work on objects created by other users too, ask them all to relinquish their elements and save to central before you take your model home. Working at home, you won't be able to save to central, but will save locally. When you bring your file back to the office, replace your file and try saving to central. If no one else has worked, you can even replace the central file with yours and then generate new local files again, if you want.

What I do for say working on a file over a weekend, is to open my local file before going home and make everything editable from the workset dialogue.
that was no user could work on the file until I return to work and then do a STC
this is just for safety sake but also keeps the central file backups intact at all times.

I have done this before, and had problems with certain items like annotations which are not assigned to a particluar workset but are linked directly to the central file.
Without access to the central file Revit will not let you modify these elements, the only way I have found to edit all items is to take home the central file.
Does anyone have any other thoughts on this?

You need to check out not only User-Created worksets, but all the others too (Project Standards, Families and Views).
