How do you make nested family projection line showing up?

Howdy guys,
Just wondering, how do you make nested family projection lines to show up in project?
For example, a dishwasher imported into kitchen family would lose its projection line work(hidden line) when Kitchen family is used in the project. Is there a way to propogate the family parameter (visibility) from one to another?

If what you are importing is Autocad items, I do not know the answer. I've never had an issue with native Revit drawn linework propagating up, unless the scales are vastly different between the nested family, and the hosting family.
