no not windows in walls but walls in my windows. I have come up against this issue regularly and have not found a solution that I like. I have attached a image that sums up the issue. I have a existing wall I demo out the old window and place a new window that is either larger than the existing window or, in a slightly different area. and some times I get chunks of wall that float with in the window. this has happened with windows of different families, and in different projects. sometimes I can move the window in the wall and then back again and the problem is resolved but, this dose not always work.any ideas?

Take a look at this thread (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=5649) from Ian Tucker.......you're not alone.
I don't think the matter is properly resolved.

Update
From Revit support
"Whenever an existing insert (window or door) is demolished Revit creates an infill wall to fill the void. When you demolish two inserts that are side by side, two infill walls are created. The problem is a new insert can only be hosted by a single infill wall. When your new windows span two infills, the portion of one of the infills is not removed."
I was also told this would not be able to be fixed in 7.0 release.
No worry This was a good excuse to do something right. I built a three window mulled family, so only one element is cutting the infilled wall. This is something I needed to do to make the window schedule. correct for CD anyway. Perhaps 8.0 can address the issue, in my case its a matter of developing a more complete library of families.

Thanks for taking the time to post the reply from support. I'm sure that this will be of help to someone else in the future.
