wall dimensioning trouble

i have some demising walls (only the demising walls have this problem) in an apartment building that go from the 2nd to 6th floor. On all levels except level 6 I can dimension to the stud line (core boundry is set correctly for this). On the 6th floor it will let me tab from face of finish to 1 layer off the core but it won't let me grab the core itself with the dimensioning tool. I also tried dimensioning the same wall in a completely different view of level 6 with the same results so I guess it is level specific. Any ideas? Thanks

Does the wall have its elevation profile edited? Sometimes if you make a wall higher than its top offset by editing the profile Revit doesn't "really" see the wall the same. So if thats the case its best to create the wall higher and edit the profile down if that makes sense.
