Dunno why! ...you could try mirroring the section of wall that does work if you haven't already...

Could it be to do with the wall join condition
Are they different - ie one is but and the other mitred ?

hmm i had a mess about there seems to be something strange about that side of the wall, as with the window in it doesnt form properly with the plasterboard.
is this a bug?? or how do i fix it.

Double check that the bottom elevation of all the wall is the same. Even the slightest difference will keep them from joining.

do you mean the bottom level the wall is on?
so far i have only got it to work, by drawing the footing 450mm wide not 600mm - so its the width that is causing the problem.

So, if I'm hearing this correctly, the footing that is not joining is a different width than the others? If this is the case I think you found your answer.
I don't use the ootb wall footing. They still don't work very well. As an example....I still get footing at the top of wall openings that cut through the bottom of the wall (ie. doors). Very annoying. They tried fixing it on '09 but it still does it.

It could have to do with the direction of the wall joins on each side of the bay window wall. Looks like the length of those angled walls is fairly short in comparison with the wall width. Check to see if the wall joins on the left side are exactly mirrored from those on the right side (where the footing is joining properly). If in doubt, change all of the wall joins to miter, and it *should* work.
