Install MDT 2009 trial

I am getting ready for the move to Inventor; however, until I get training I will work continue to work in MDT.

I installed the Inventor free trial and then downloaded MDT 2009. I get the 'inventor must be installed' prompt while trying to install MDT 2009. I tried launching inventor once and that made no difference.
