I am having a problem deleting curtain walls. I am not able to delete and type of curtain wall after I model it whether it is independant of everything or embed in a wall.
Thank you in advance.

Why aren't you able to delete it? Does Revit pops up a message or something?

I don't get pop up box telling me I have an error or any other message letting me know that a problem has occured. I draw the curtain wall and then I am not able to remove it.

Are you able to select the curtainwall? Not just the mullions or panels, but the entire curtainwall?
Are any categories turned off in your view? Specifically, have you hidden the Walls category, either through View Visibility or by temporary hide? That would turn off the outline of the curtainwall, but still leave the mullions and panels visible, but would not allow you to select the curtainwall.

I am having the exact same problem in Revit Structure 2009. I am just starting to use Revit now.. Everything is turned on. I can select mullions, grids, and panels. But I see no way to select the curtainwall as a whole, nor any curtainwall outline. Even if I window around the entire curtain wall, and look at the filters, there is no item for curtainwall, only mullions, panels, and grids. I even tried only showing "curtain system" in visibility graphics settings, and nothing appears at all.
When I highlight them, and then push the delete button, the panels do not delete. No error message, just nothing happens.

use the Tab key to cycle thru the options of what to select, one of them will show a dashed box around the entire system. pick this and hit delete. if that still doesn't work try picking the whole system and changing it to a regular wall and then delete.

Make sure your view is set to Architectural or Coordination and that the Wall category is visible. When you hover over the edge of a curtain wall, a green dashed line "bounding box" should display. Click that and you should be able to delete the curtain wall.

i have had similiar issues with curtain walls and found the only way i could remove it in the end was to right click select the curtain wall, select wall panels and then revise the panels back to standard glazed wall panels.... this tended to help restore the ability to delete the item... odd thing as it happens sporadically and seemingly without any real reason or action. hope this helps.

the problem is selection of panel (dashed lines) looks exaclty like selection of wall (dashed lines) . When you have a curtainwall "undivided", one can't differentiate between selections. if you're having this problem, the first one you select most likely will not allow you to delete it...the wall options you are used to seeing are not available (height, attach, detach etc.). tab once (you may have to actually have to toggle through a few selection options), selection looks exactly the same (it looks like you didn't do anything) and click, you should see wall options available, you might even see extents for your "wall/curtainwall". then delete.
it's odd, both selections call it "wall" (if you look through "sieve" filter also) and dashed lines look exactly the same. however, i believe one is actually a "panel" in your wall... element/type properties would let me believe (revit should clarify when selection is made).
