Change Background color of Cells

When I click to select one of the cell or more cells, and open the Properties Palette, under Cell - Background, it's gray, no color for selection
Anyone know how to change the cell background color?

Is the Cell locked? If a little lock appears when you hover the cursor over the cell, then right click the cell, choose locking then unlock. after that you should be able to change the background color from the properties menu.
