Customizing Menus

I am attempting to create a custom menu, much like I used to be able to do in AutoCAD. Does Revit have an option for creating custom menus?

Within Revit itself, I would say no. However I have seen 3rd party API applications which add menus to the top of the screen.

Customizing the interface within Revit is pretty limited, but I personally think that's a good thing. That way anybody working on any machine is already familiar with and oriented with the interface, unlike with CAD where you might have menus and toolbars all over the place.

What kind of custom commands/functionality are you looking to add?

I would like to change the color of the major titles the tool bar on the left side of the screen. For example if Modeling, Drafting Rendering, Site etc were all blue and the the remain would stand out and would be quicker to locate.
