Roof Trusses w/Bottom Cords

We you create a roof w/ trusses it would be nice to have a bottom cord so your section would appear correct.

I do what you're describing in 2 steps...

1. Build truss as a family and insert as beams
2. place roof w/ materials on exterior of structure and nothing on interior of structure.

only problem is that the beams are not parametric enough to know to change their slope when you change the roof slope, so you have to alter both each time you change slope.

In older versions of Revit i just used walls with no surface materials as trusses. They don't look exactly right in 3D, but you get the lines, and they adjust w/ the roof slope.
