I have a situation - 3 way intersection to core wall.

At the core wall I have say a 350 deep (beam) zone where all three beams come in. The beams are 450 deep. Now the deeper beams are forced to join. I don't want this. Is there a way to control how the beam join??

If you are using Revit 2009, there's a new tool called Edit Beam Joins. You can use that to control how your beams will join.

Thanks Andre

But this doesn't seem to work with concrete beams that we have. We are using concrete beams from 2008 that we had edited.

Could that have caused an issue with the concrete beams?

I know this function works with the steel beams

Thanks

If things get desperate, try changing the material of the concrete beams to steel, or in fact anything other than concrete. This sure helped 2008 and earlier version beams behave better.

2008 and earlier version beams, column behave better and correct. But in 2009, structural column and wall join condition is not correct. of course structural beams and wall join condition is not correct to.
