We are upgrading to RA 2009 from RA 2008 and I'm in charge of upgrading our templates and what not. From what I've been hearing from RUG meetings and other CAD Managers is that you must re-create all your templates, families and such and not just upgrade what we already have because the platform has changed and elements might not function properly. My questions are these:
1. Is this true, do I have to re-create all my files? Re-draw my title blocks, re-do my families and insert them into the new 2009 office template?
1b. If I go the lazy way and just upgrade our office template file and save it as RA 2009, will something go wrong because I didn't redo the new template based off of the 2009 default.rte file?
2. What about my shared parameters that I created to use in title blocks or custom families, do I need to re-create the shared parameters.txt file or can I copy the one I create in the previous release and use it for my new 2009 template?
Thanks,
Aracely
