Is the insulation line on the drafting tab not what you are looking for?

NO THAT IS THE RIFGID INSUL. PAT. I NEED A PAT THAT RESEMBLES A REPEATING "S" PATTERN.

Do you mean this type of pattern? This is the insulation tool found ion the drafting design bar.

yes, that's what I was meaning. Sorry, was in a hurry and wasn't too explicit.

Is the stock insulation pattern editable?
I prefer a more open style of pattern like the one I use from Autocad, its not a biggie but if I can adjust it I will.

Thanks,
Kim

It's somewhat editable, but I don't think you'll get exactly what you have shown there. In the properties of the line you can edit the bulge/width ratio and make it larger "swoops" or tighter ones, but as far as I know, that and the width are about all that you can edit.

The insulation tool is really just a Repeating Detail component. You can create your own repeating detail component with a more 'loose' S-curve and call it insulation.

I would like to be able to use that quilt insulation hatch pattern as part of my cavity wall components - instead of the limited patterns available form the fill pattern editor.

If its an acad pattern you can use it in revit. search the help files for importing custom hatches.
