I can't seem to get the riser to show slanted on a monolithic or concrete stair.
Any ideas why this is?

Just found this... http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=29736&highlight=concrete+slanted+riser

I'm guessing that it can't create a slanted riser if there is not enough of a nosing to slant from?

Yes, you must have a nosing length to have a slanted riser. In fact the nosing length is how you set the angle of your riser.

In 2008 (I have not yet tried it in 2009) you must NOT have a nosing profile in order to have a slanted riser. I'm not an architect but it makes sense to me that you would not want a slanted riser as well as a nosing profile since that would create more of a chance for someone to trip while going up the stair.
