I would wish that the matchprop autocad command include in version MAP the copies of Data of Objects as well as the bonds of the External Data bases.

This would fall into the 'wish list' category
as the matchprop command is an AutoCAD
command and not a MAP command.
I can see a use for being able to create a
database link, or attach Object data to an
AutoCAD entity and then use matchprop to
apply that same data to other entities.
Although as it currently exists there are many
disconnects between AutoCAD functions and MAP.
Most notable in the new release Sheet Set Manager
and the Plot MAP set command.
It would be wonderful if it were integrated; sadly it isn't.
And as I have limited faith in AutoDESK you wont see
me adding much to the wish list, due to the limited
changes to Land Desktop since SoftDesk 6.3 despite
the fact there have been 8 different versions of AutoCAD
since then.

There is a third party developer that creates a whole set of tools for Map called GEO Tools. I do not own them but should (only $129). They have a tool for copying OD from one object to another and a ton of other tools as well.

Home page: http://www.4d-technologies.com/geotools

Map tools: http://www.4d-technologies.com/geotools/manual/autocad_map_tools.htm

Hope this can get you by,

Jeremiah

Located in the C:\Program Files\Autodesk Map 3D 2005\Sample folder there is a lisp routine called copy_od.lsp. This routine will copy Object data from one object to several other objects.

Glad that did it for you. Just wonder why they hide such a useful tool.
