Can you label ref planes?

Every reference plane has an instance property for you to add a label to it. Once you do that, the label will display at the end of the reference plane when you click on it.

I don't think you can tag reference planes, if that's what you mean. In a way, a grid is like a reference plane with a label.
You can change a ref plane's linetype properties.
