I am trying to make some window trim around 5 windows on a curved wall. Have tried to do a solid extrusion and pick the wall for the plane and does not seem to work. Any ideas would be great. Im on 9.1 still by the way

Trim on a curve is a little tricky. There are many ways to do it. One create families with radius parameters to control the shape of the trim. 2 create a new wall type, called trim, make it the thickness of your desired trim, then using the inside face as the location line pick the curved wall, adjust the grips of the wall to be the trim width on either side of the windows, then in elevation move the wall up and down as needed, then using join geometry join the 2 walls together, this will cut the holes out at the windows. now you can add any sweep profiles necessary.
The third way is an inplace family where you make an extrusion in plan following the curve and the thickness of the trim, then use voids to cut out the window holes.
