Anyone ever had edit cut profile stop working?
We have used this command many times and all of a sudden we are getting errors stating that the sketch is invalid. (We are in Revit 2008. In the process of installing 09 this coming week)
See attached screen image.
We reverted to an old file and now it works fine. Any thoughts on the cause so we don't have this happen again?
Thanks!

Just tried it on a couple random walls in 2009 and it worked fine. Can you copy paste the offending wall into a 2009 project and try again. Perhaps there is a join condition that it doesn't "like"?

We will give this a try. Strange thing is that this happened twice today in two separate files with two separate users. Very odd!

When this issue arises, it encompasses the entire project file, not just a single wall or single instance of Edit Cut Profile.
When the issue occurs, you cannot even use the button for this function. The function does not respond nor does the Edit Cut Profiles that were already placed in the BIM.
We went to a previous backup file, the ECP worked. We then opened that backup file with an Audit, the ECP no longer worked.

When things like these occurs, the best thing to do is fill a support request and if possible send the file to them. If it is a bug, will be correct at the source and prevent from happening again when new Revit builds will be released.
