Is it possible to bring a PDF into Revit and copy a detail? Or is it just easier to recreate the detail new anyways?

Probably simpler to recreate....

And it depends on how the PDF was generated....
If it is just an image, you can use Acrobat Pro or Photoshop to export a Jpeg. This can be imported to Revit, but it will just be an uneditable image.

If the PDF contains vector information, you can open it in Illustrator (or CorelDraw) and export the vector information to DWG. The DWG can then be imported to Revit. Of course the scale many need to be ajusted and you'll have other cleanup to resolve.

So - probably simpler to recreate.....
