You have two witness line in the same location. Hence the 0". However they probably don't both go to the same object - just to two different object stacked one on top of the other like a floor edge and a wall...

You should be able to put you mouse over the witness line extension. Right click. Delete Witness line. This should leave only one witness line and remove the 0". Note that you could have several objects and have several witness lines. So repeat as needed.

To add to what Aarron wrote, the "gotcha" to this is what some of my users do....

When you are trying to subtract a witness line you can do it one of two ways. You can first click on the dimension string, then click edit witness lines. This will allow you to add or subtract multiple witness lines across your entire dimension string. The "gotcha" here is that when subtracting, you can't pick on the extension line itself but rather the OBJECT that the extension line is dimesioning. Also, when using this method you have to make one more pick off of the dimension line before you hit the esc key, otherwise you will have aborted your edit witness line session.

The other method is the one Aarron suggests. When you right click over the extension line itself the shortcut menu gives you the opportunity to delete that particular witness line.
