Our PC3 files are set up using a Windows system printer. We have several of that same printers (HP 1055's and HP 5000's).

It would be nice if you could create one PC3 file with your desired settings, save it, copy it and change the printer name to use another system printer.

In other words, if I create a PC3 file for the HP 1055 in our north office, I would like to copy it and modify it so it can be used for the HP 1055 in our south office.

In R14 this was easily accomplished by editing the (ASCII) PC2 file.

You should be able to. Have you checked the printer names in windows for each computer. They have to be the same.

The system printer names are different.

For example:

DN-1055-S is the system printer name for the 1055 on the south side of the Denver office.
CS-1055-S is the system printer name for the 1055 on the south side of the Colorado Springs office.

We have to name them differently to distinguish between different printers.

I assume you have it that way so one office can print to the other office's printer?

That is correct.
