I had thought that there was a way to set layer iso so that it would work on xrefs. Is this not true? Cannot get it to work this way! Any help here please? TIA!

Unfortunately the LAYISO doesn't pick nested entities when selecting (like the LATFRZ). So only the layer on which the XRef is placed will be turned on, but all the layers inside the XRef is turned OFF.

Give me a while, I'll come up with a lisp to do this for you. Seeing as it's another thing I'd like myself.

Try this: save attached to a folder in your Support Path. Load the LSP file into AC and type the command NLAYISO. Works much the same as LAYISO except it's got a new setting for nested objects (Only select main object, Only select nested object, or select both). The LAYUNISO doesn't work for this though - use either LAYERP or UNDO.

Also I didn't implement the VPFreeze thing, as this is simply too complex. The highlighing also only works for normal entities - nested stuff I don't seem to be able to highlight.
