displaying directional arrow on windows in elevation views

is there an option to display directional arrows on windows in elevation views.

or do we have to draw them in

Your best chance is to build them into the window families with Symbolic lines. You can set constraints and set up visibility toggles so that you can set them to work how you want them to.

Or you can use an arrow as a detail component, centered in the middle of the panels.
Built inside the family, of course.

will have to build up the courage to venture into family editing.

do think tho they should make it an option in the properties...

You can make it an option in the properties once you get it in the family, if that makes it any more worthwhile... :)
