I wondered has anyone else tried publishing dwfx exports from Revit 2009 wu1 to their websites via the autodesk freewheel tools (they give you the code to insert) or for direct access via the xps plug-in (included in Vista versions).
I get the freewheel code to work fine but the linked 3d dwfx produced from Revit is always described as 'invalid'.
If I try to access the .dwfx file (posted to my website) directly via IE7 it sees the file as a .zip file and wants to run or save it (this is in Vista and in XP Pro with the downloaded plug-n).
However if I open it via IE7 locally on my PC it does open as a 3D model file.
As with previous attempts at doing this sort of things for clients who live overseas, I'm beginning to wish I hadn't bothered ;)
If anyone wants to try accessing the dwfx file posted to my site it is here:

The Autodesk freewheel code page is here (you might need to sign an agreement):

thanks.
/.Edit - oops - it works when linked from this post.
beats me :? ;)
//.Edit - oh, I see - it has opened in Design Review 2009...
I wonder what happens if that isn't installed... must check...
Ah, doesn't work - still sees it as a .zip file.
So, clients have to install Design Review for this to work?
Too confusing - I think I'll give it up for now ;)
