dimensional lumber very hard to edit

with dim lumber cannot snap end to perdicular etc
also the align tool does nothing
how are supposed to place these things exact..
again Revit snaping is not good

tried to build a floor framing with 2x12 dimensional timber

it was easy with nothing next to it
but try to bulid it in place and it wants to join everything
really hard to get joints to work out.

also, on roof framing want a 3d frame using the dimensioal timber
but can't make plumb cuts on it,,, guess because it is a profile..
not sure what to use... extrusions work but can't array them
