Mental Ray Ground Plane?

Anyone know how to change the color of the ground plane when rendering? I guess I could put a huge topo surface over it but...I dont want to ;-)

Also, Can we edit the default sky? Can I make "very cloudy" look more blue or am i stuck with what they gave us (L.A. smog at its best)?

I just export to PNG and then use my own image for the sky and/or background.
