No Building Section

For some reason, I've lost the building section option when I'm making sections, I can still make detail/wall sections. I'm thinking that it must have been purged... any ideas on how to get it back?

As you suspected someone purged it out. You will need to open a template and copy/paste it from there.

You can't create a new section type and just name it Building Sections?

If you were to make a new section type by duplicating a wall section and rename it as building section, you'd run into some problems with changing some parameters. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think the issue was with the section head. I'll double check and repost.

Btw, sbrown, the building section type was purged out and I had to copy/paste with a few other elements, a chain of walls or one wall to be specific. I just had a hard time just copy/pasting that one element.
