Just attended a two day Archicad course in our office. I'm a dedicated REVIT user.
Sadlly to say, our management bought 3 license of Archicad. But after the course. The management still allowed me to model in Revit for rendering in Max. This was due to the fact Archicad cannot do a quick and proper facia with a different Z value, splitting a wall face for assigning different finishes, and the Site tool is more powerfull then Archicad mesh.

But what caught my attention is the "Truss Maker" in Archicad.
I know there is Revit Structure in creating truss. My question is...

If I import a RA2009 file in RS2009 and create the truss there.. Can the file save in RS2009 can be open in RA2009 and still keep the truss created in RS2009?

Anybody tried this before?

You don't have to "import" the file created in RA2009 into RS2009. Just open it there and create what you want. Then save and open it back into RA2009.

RA should have a truss maker. Leaving this out of RA is more evidence that marketing is driving development of RA, not user needs.

I dont have RS2009. But today I'm in luck. Just found out one of our consultant have RS2009. So just gonna ask a favor from them to test out my model. And yeah, its a shame this feature was left out in RA2009. Autodesk should understand that a expose truss is sometimes part of the interior design. This should be included.
