room bounding wall

I made a wall family in version 2009 to use for toilet partitions.

The room bounding box in the Element Properties is checked, as expected, but I can't UNcheck it - the parameter is greyed out. I really don't want them bounding.

I saw a couple work-arounds on similar threads, but for now I'd just like to uncheck the box and move on!

Any thoughts?

I tested simple example and was able to switch checkmark off and on without trouble. Could you post simple project with the family or send it to Support?

Aha!

User error:

I was trying to apply it to the family in general (nothing selected in the model), rather than selecting a specific partition and viewing its Element Properties.

I'm noob enough that some of these basics trip me up. Then again, even if I had the experience I might be in the same boat.
