rendering issue

when i display my model with shading and edges the model looks fine ....when i render the scene it is a different color.....the roof is a red metal panel (thats how ist set up in my roof properties) and displays fine until rendered it shows up as white....any suggestions?

You may not have a render material assigned to it. The color on the screen used with "shading w/ edges' and the render material are two different things. What version of Revit are you using?

I ask because I'm still on 9.1 and am not familiar with the new rendering engine in 2009. Did assigning a rendering material to your roof fix the problem? If not, I have a few other ideas.

i think i see what you mean....i did go back and change the accurender setting and changed its color ( i think i over rode the other one, had a problem creating a new one ((maybe just in a hurry))....but thanks for the help

If you are going to upgrade the file to 2009 be aware that the renderer and all the associated rendering materials have changed. If you are going to render and not just shade the view you will probably want to wait until the file is in 2009 to avoid duplicating your material assignment efforts.
