View Full Version : Model Pattern on Floor that shouldn't be there

I'm not sure what's going on, but I have a floor that shows a cross hatch model pattern that doesn't exist when I open the element properties of the floor. The surface pattern just appeared, according to one of my users. One other thing, I can open a different view with the same floor in it and the pattern doesn't exist. I can also draw the same floor in any view and I don't get the model pattern.
:screwy:Has anyone else come across something like this?

Check to see if that floor element had its surface pattern overridden in that one particular view.

I was going to say it may have been "painted" but you said it's only in one view. I'm willing to bet that it just had an element override applied in that view.

No overrides have been applied here. That was the first thing I checked.

No idea, I would try cutting it to clipboard, deleting it, and then pasting it back in the same place and see if that helps.

Thanks for the idea, but it didn't work. I cannot figure it out :banghead:

crazy... you may just have to create a new floor from scratch.

That's probably what I'll do, but I really want to figure this out. I could delet the model pattern except I'm using it in other places. Oh well, chalk it up to a bug I guess.

Have you tried using the paint bucket on it, set to By Category? I'm guessing it doesn't show the pattern in a 3D view.

Yup it was the paint bucket. Seems someone accidently applied the model pattern to the floor while trying to add it to a wall. Not sure how they managed to do that but they did. Anyway thanks for your help. :D
