Not For Construction Stamps

I looking for the ever so popular stamp that's used for "Not For Construction" disclaimers. The one I'm thinking of is a circular stamp that states something along the lines of, "If this stamp is not red, then you shouldn't use for construction", or something along those lines.

I looking at recreating that stamp in Revit so I can apply that to my drawings and have it be printed off with the red ink. If anyone is willing to share an example of that type of stamp, or others that they commonly use, I would be most obliged.

You make all your prints on a color plotter? whoa... (thinks back to the time when our office printed on an old HP750, before our current Oce large-format laser).

We just have a label on our titleblocks that say Preliminary Checkset, Not For Construction. It has a yes/no visibility parameter and gets turned off before printing the final set.

I try not to force old ways of doing things into Revit. We just come up with new ways of doing things that still gets the point across, and works well with the platform.

We have the same thing, and we still use a HP650c =p

Yup, still use a color plotter. HP500 something or another. It sucks, already found issues with it regarding plotting memory and such, but the funds are not there to get a new one.

I guess my overall goal was to find something a little more classy than just "NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" posted on it. I suppose it could just be my tendency to overthink things, but then I guess thats why I have the job I do, to over think things.

Anyway, any examples would be very helpful.

+1 For a Text piece saying "Not for Construction" with a Visibility parameter. if you want it to be red, make the text red, hehe. I suppose you could dress it up with lines or something around it, but its really not "value adding" in any way, since all it does is say this drawing isnt for construction, but to each his own...

Why note use the project status (under Settings - Project Information) and then have that show on your title block. That way you can update the "status" of each mass plot (i.e. 50% Design Development, DSA Submittal - For Plan Review Only, etc.)?

Thats what we do in Revit and in CAD (although its just dumb text in CAD...). If you dont want anything to show up then just blank the field out.

Hey there,
I use a font called "Rubber Stamp" that I bought from Will-Harris House as part of a font package. It also had "Hand" and "Glasgow" along with a few other really nice architectural fonts.
I have it set up in my title block family as a Yes/No parameter, along with my seal.

I have it in Red also for original color printing and for "Draft Copy" stamps on letters etc.

It appears that I may have just been overthinking it once again and what I currently use is the best practice. Nice touch on the font type though.
