Area of face?

I need to find the area of some portions of roof faces. Not the entire roof, and in some cases only part of the face. Is there any easy way to accomplish this?

Split face, paint with unique material, schedule material. If that messes up your roof, make a copy of roof first.

or

make detail views (while in elevation) which are parallel to the faces in question, and use filled regions. (FR properties give you areas)
