What's the deal with the "View Range" 2009

[Baldwin_4-6-0]

I have a wall and the height is 5'-4" and it has no hatch pattern as if it were not being cut through. My view range settings are in the .jpegs

I raise the wall up to 6'-0" and now I see the cut pattern as I should.

I have tried to use "plan regions" to fix this, but nothing works. :( very puzzling.

Am I missing something?

I will be resorting to filled regions in a moment.

is the wall height set as "unconnected"? If so, and it's under 6'-0" it will show as not cut. You can set it as "up to level: first floor" with a top offset of 5'-4" and it should cut. Revit has always worked this way. Search the forum for reason as I am headed out the door and don't have time for further explanation :). Hope that helps...

From Revit Help, User's Guide > Project Views > View Settings > View Range > Additional View Range Rules:

- Walls shorter than 6 feet are not cut, even if they intersect the cut plane.

I guess they did this to help denote short walls that don't go up to the ceiling.
