Hello,

I am new to 3ds Max, and I use revit most of the time. I know that you are supposed to use the fbx export from revit to 3ds max. I was just wondering if that when you import the fbx, can you make it a link, incase you make any changes on your model later so you can reload it or update it? Kind of like the link manager with dwg files. I mean I can export my revit to dwg, but then it will lose all of its materials. Thanks

No link capability now. I have the same lament too.

Try this:
Xref different max files into a Master max file.
Make changes in Revit, export to FBX, import FBX back into max xrefs,
and the changes update in Max master scene.

A bit more file management, but works well.

Cheers.......
