Has anyone got a good strategy for modeling a heavy "C" tile roof? In the past, in 2D elevations, I have used hatch patterns which work well for the field, and the wrap around at the gable overhangs was just line detailed at length. I was hoping to use a modeled approach. Since I usually do not pattern the whole roof, I was thinking of a "C" tile family just placed at appropriate places.
