Surface Pattern on Sweeps

Can anyone tell me why the pattern on the placement side faces of the solid sweeps is not dispalying? I want to have it appear on the front, angled face and I want to rotate the pattern(s) before inserting into a project.

I am guessing it has something to do with the angled face...but hopefully not, as I am not prepared to upgrade to newest build at this time.

Is it not displaying in a project? I opened the family and I can see a stone pattern on the sweeps above half of the door family.

In my family I see no pattern on the outward face of the sweep- only on the sides. but, once I add the other to fill in the arch shaped void, I will not see the sides.

I have developed a second family which is an extrusion cut by a sweep, and the pattern works fine. I am curious about why not on the sweeps.
