We have a simple rectangular shaped curtain wall with a single horizontal mullion.
When copied the copied curtainwall adds an additional horizontal mullion????

Look inside of the Curtainwall definition itself. If there is a spacing, or a number of horizontal members listed, it will not retain any unpinning and editing that you have done. We have ended up defining "blank curtainwalls within our template, to avoid this type of issue.
