Can anyone suggest a better way to accomplish this brick arch?

I created a brick with a sweep as a generic line based family with an instance parameter to rotate the family (sweep profile) off of the horizontal.

I then placed each one of these "bricks" as a component, using the line of the previously placed brick, and then modifying the angle for each one of them for their proper orientation.

I then nudge each one of them in plan in an attempt to follow the curvature of the wall.

The problem, as you can see, is a stair stepping effect of the ends of the bricks.

In order to display this accurately I need to be able to rotate these bricks in plan, just as a mason would to make the mortar joint on the outside of the curve wider then it is on the inside of the curve. That should eliminate the stair stepping effect.

Can anyone suggest a better way to accomplish this?

Just model it as one solid. Then add the joints on in elevation (or just ad a few and a note like in the old days). You'll spend way too much time trying to get every brick properly placed....
