Help! I am trying to add a parameter into a door family that will know what phase it was created in.
I am using the formula: IF ("Phase Created" = Existing, "EXIST.", "NEW")
I keep getting the message 'improper use of boolean expressions'.
Am I going about this the wrong way?
I want a text value that I can schedule without having to input one for each door.
Thanks in advanced,
D

In your project you could set up a plan view for Existing items and a plan view for new items. That way in your existing plan view you can set your phase created to existing and anything you bring into that plan view will be on the existing phase.

I don't believe you can use Phase as a parameter. They seem to be referencing this in this relatively recent thread:

Sounds like a number of people are using a different family per phase if you want to differentiate as such.

Is there a reason that using two door schedules - one for existing and one for new - will not work (using the phase control on the schedule)?
