Hi All

Trying to do some custom furniture which requires Helical metal legs

any idea how I can creat native helical objects in revit?

I think there was an old tutorial around on a double twisted column. You might want to search for it. I believe that it used a sweep that was on a sloped work plane.
With the new sweep blend it may be easer to get a helix modeled. You might also try bugging Phil Read. He of anyone would know how to model this. Just note that he is no longer working for Autodesk.

A swept blend cna help you make this kind of shape. you just have to offset the 2 profiles in the "z" direction from one another.
