I am having some problems getting Revit 2009 to find our license server, 2008 works just fine. Does 2009 require a newer version of the Network license software? We are currently running v10.8

Not sure about a direct answer to your question, but it never hurts to to have the most current version of the license manager running. It's relatively simple to update - just follow these directions: http://blog.jtbworld.com/2007/03/upgrade-autodesk-network-license.html
The instructions are for AutoCAD, but simply search for the files on your Revit disk and use those instead. I have successfully done this while licenses are checked out to users (we use the distributed license system in two different offices for 4 different Autodesk apps, so I have done it a LOT...). If you plan ahead and carefully update the manager files and get the services running properly (make certain your license files are assembled/combined correctly), you will either fix your problem, or eleminate the license manager version as a cause of your trouble.

We had the same problem. According to the Autodesk site the new license server software is required. So, we uninstalled the old version and installed the new and it did not work.

After submitting a support request one of their support staff who specializes in licensing told us that the old version worked just fine.

We reinstalled the old one and put all the settings files back where they were. We replaced just the license file and it worked great.

I believe the version number we use is v10.8. Did you file a support request?
