DWF Problems

When we try to publish to dwf the sheet size will not stay 30x42 but always goes back to 8-1/2 x 11. We cannot save any of the settings either. This happens in 08 and 09. Anyone else have this problem.

Do it from the sheet view and it should be OK. If you do it from ANY other view it will be back to 8.5" x 11".

Consistently. I remember seeing a thread about this but can't find it in a quick search.

The only issue with publishing from sheet view is you have to pick a saved Printer Layout name every time. Otherwise it defaults back to <Use Sheet Size> which depending on your title block family will not publish to your intended size as it's looking for the edges of the family to determine the size (our 24x36 goes down to 22x34).

In the end, we have gone back to using pdfs.

We tracked down the following problems in our case:

1. Someone renamed the 36x48 sht to 30x42 but it should have been 36x48, hence we kept selecting the wrong size and Revit would have none of it.

2. We used "center" on sheet but not fit to sheet and things were fine, plus the correct sheet size helped.
