i modelled a roof using a the numerical definition for the slope. i wish to have a lower roof with the same pitch but with a ridge off that of the upper roof.
how do i do that without using the slope arrow option .
thanks

Do you have a picture or sketch or something? not sure what you mean...

essentially, i have a gable roof with another lower gable roof abutting the upper one.
they both have a the same slope but have different ridge positions.
i simply want to be able to use the define slope eg 4"/12" method to determine the lower gable roof and not the slope arrow method as that will require "trial and error" to be able to position the ridge at my prefered postion.
thanks hope this clarifies it

Select the roof and click on Edit on the options bar. Select the lines (magenta) of the roof edge you want to change the slope and select Element Properties. in the Element Properties box under dimensions, input the Value of Rise/12".

You may find it's allot easier if you make two different roofs, and with the Roof join button on the tool bar blend them both together.
