I have a user that has no background using AutoCAD. He was working on a drawing and was printing out a drawing with all the layer turned on. I would open the drawing on my computer and 2 other computers and the electronic file would not make him print. I found that he was right clicking the blocks and dragging them to new locations. This was causing the layer that were OFF to apprear on the screen. You could SNAP to them and print them. I would use the layer pull-down menu to see the layer, and they were off. I then click back to the active working area and they would disappear. I have never seen this before. Is this a glitch or is a setting on that should be off. Need help. I have him using "MOVE" that has fix the problem. Just would like to know.

i use the left click and drag all the time, sometimes to make a block real quick as well, however, i have never come accross a problem with it.

My company is using 2009. I have tried moving the blocks on 5 different computers, and the problem appears on every computer. I have even tries different blocks.

A little more explanation of what or how you are doing this would help.

But to continue, when a layer is specified to be OFF and not FROZEN, AutoCAD will continue to calculate the geometry of any objects that are on the specified layer, thus allowing you to snap to those non-visible objects.

Changing the state of the specified layer to FROZEN will prevent AutoCAD from calculating any geometry of any objects that are on the specified layer.
