Hi,
i am using a 2d cad file and basically tracing over it in Revit and am wondering:
How do/Can I reload the underlay after making changes in Autocad? or do i need to delete and repaste the whole base drawing underlay....

Also, does Revit recognize a cad polyline as one entity?

ty,

how did you insert the cadd file into revit? On the import link dialogue there is a button that say "link". if you did this you should be able to see the cadd drawing in the file link manager.

if you imported instead of link, the only way to update the underlay would be to remove and reinsert.

i dont know if polylines are recognized but you can tab select a length of lines.

Thx. Yea I don't think Revit recognizes plines as a whole, after tabbing.
May the force be with you

Revit won't pick up a pline as mentioned nor can you draw a 'pline' in Revit, if you want something similar you can create a transparent filled region though.
